Shutters of Woody Point Launch Party

Join us as we celebrate the launch of Shutters of Woody Point, a new mural-art project in collaboration with businesses of downtown Woody Point.

Featuring a talk and walk through the work from artist Marissa Bialowas, music from Kacie Callahan and Sherman Downey, and street food from local restaurants!

Food options will be just $5 each (cash preferred!), and feature special street-food style items from:

- The Old Loft with their homemade chowder
- Galliott Studios with a homemade local berry torte
- The Merchant Warehouse with their famous cod-bites with a tartar sauce drizzle
- Taste at Gros Morne Inn with savoury hand-pies

Schedule:

4pm: Welcome and artist talk from Marissa Bialowas
4:30 - 6pm: Kacie Callahan playing on Water Street
4:30 - 6pm: special $5 food items available from local restaurants
6 - 8pm: Sherman Downey performing at the Merchant Warehouse (downstairs)

About Shutters of Woody Point:

For the fall to spring seasons, some businesses cover the windows and doors of their buildings with plywood to protect them from harsh weather. Shutters of Woody Point invited an artist to use these shutters to create a series of artworks that spans across the windows and doors of four heritage buildings. The work will be on display throughout the fall, winter, and into spring 2027.
